SAN DIEGO (September 8, 2017) – Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) partner Sean Southard is featured in The Daily Transcript’s “50 Influential Leaders” for 2017, a special supplement which highlights San Diego County’s leading business influencers.
A founding partner of CGS3, Southard has helped his firm evolve into one of the region’s leading commercial real estate law firms. He has been instrumental in the firm’s white-hot growth and played a key role in the development of its forward-thinking business model, which eschews the traditional structure often found in larger firms and is characterized by highly specialized services to a sophisticated client base, low overhead and – most importantly – top legal talent.
Southard has successfully completed major leasing transactions totaling more than 10 million square feet of space across all sectors of commercial real estate, including retail, industrial and office. Most recently, he played a key role in the development and expansion of Liberty Station, spearheading leasing transactions for McMillin Companies in the widely acclaimed new Liberty Public Market. Other real estate companies he represents in various real estate transactions include McGrath Development, Passco Companies, ShopCore Properties, HP Investors, Irvine Company, Locale Advisors and American Realty Advisors.
In addition to his legal career, Southard served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy until 1994, serving tours in Iraq and Somalia. He also supports a federally-run orphanage in Baguio City, Philippines – visiting the center each year, sending packages and resources for facility improvements, and sponsoring the annual “Thera-Free” event in Baguio City to provide therapy to children with developmental disorders.
