The commercial real estate sector has gone through industry-wide changes during 2020, and many expect the modifications to last.  As many businesses struggle to stay afloat, commercial landlords are more willing to accommodate tenants that have been severely impacted by government-mandated shutdowns – and lease negotiation tactics have pivoted accordingly.  But more revisions are expected as the debate continues over how to best prepare the industry for another major pandemic disruption.
