SAN DIEGO (February 26, 2020) – CGS3 partner Marjorie J. Burchetthas been named one of San Diego’s Top Influential Women for 2020 by The Daily Transcript, a leading San Diego business publication.  She is profiled in a special supplement which honors the most talented, innovative and hardworking women in San Diego.

According to The Transcript, a longstanding San Diego business publication, the featured professionals are in real estate, construction, law, financial services, government and the nonprofit sector – all women who have made an impact in their industry and community.

A recognized San Diego attorney, Burchett joined CGS3 as its newest partner in September of 2019.

She has extensive expertise in mixed use, urban infill, master planned communities and condominium developments – all areas which are experiencing robust growth in San Diego County – and has specialized in subdivision processing with the California Department of Real Estate.

Previously with a partner with Withers Bergman LLP, she began her legal career at Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps, where she became a partner. She continued as a partner when Luce merged with McKenna Long & Aldridge and when McKenna merged with Dentons US LLP.

Additionally, she is an active community leader – serving on multiple boards and committees, among them the YMCA San Diego Camps board of management, facilities/capital committee and Real Estate Task Force; the San Diego and California Building Industry Association, DRE committees; San Diego County Bar Association, Real Property Law Section and Bar Foundation, the Downtown San Diego Partnership, board of directors and co-chair of Women of the Partnership; and Lawyers Club San Diego. She also contributes her time each summer to Rancho Genesis, a camp for orphans in Ensenada, Mexico.
