Two Additional Allen Matkins Attorneys Leave to Join CGS3

New firm focused on serving national client base in real estate law

SAN DIEGO (July 30, 2013) – Brian Kintz and Fernando Landa are joining Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3), a commercial real estate law firm launched earlier this month by five former Allen Matkins partners. Kintz, who recently made partner at Allen Matkins, joined CGS3 as a partner last week. Landa, a senior associate, will join CGS3 as a partner on August 5.

“Brian and Fernando are rising stars in the San Diego legal community,” said founding partner Dana Schiffman. “Both are fantastic attorneys with stellar reputations. They elevate our presence in San Diego while also supporting our regional and national client base. They are creative thinkers who will contribute to our effort to re-examine the delivery of legal services to better align client and firm interests.”

CGS3 was established to bring a lean, client-first approach to the commercial real estate industry. The firm offers a breadth of experience and bench strength typically found only in larger firms, with the flexibility and efficiency to help clients realize their business goals.

Kintz began his career 13 years ago with Allen Matkins. Known for his technical skill when managing complicated deals, he will focus on transactional real estate matters. He has represented institutional owners in the leasing, management, financing and disposition of office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use developments, and has also represented tenants in connection with the leasing of office and retail locations. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Cornell University.

Landa came to Allen Matkins a year ago and was previously general counsel with Trigild, a full-service real estate management and investment company. Landa brings to CGS3 his quick intellect and client side perspective on the day-to-day legal challenges facing today’s business owners and the need to find efficient solutions to complex issues where the law and operations meet. His practice will focus on a broad range of real estate matters, with an emphasis on the development, acquisition, disposition, leasing and management of commercial real estate. Landa earned his Juris Doctor and Masters of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from the University of Pennsylvania.
