Project: GoPro office lease and amenities contracts
Location: Carlsbad, CA
WHY IT MATTERS
Addresses legal issues related to creative office space projects.
CGS3 represented Cruzan in the preparation and negotiation of many of the leasing and amenities transactions involved in the redevelopment of the former San Diego International Floral Trade Center warehouse into an outdoor-centric, creative office complex, featuring GoPro, Inc. as its first tenant.
Called “make”, the 175,000-square foot project includes outdoor surf showers, a fire pit, horseshoe pits and an amphitheater for outdoor meetings, as well as a full-service fitness center with on-site personal trainers, fitness classes and other wellness programs.
“make” is the San Diego region’s premiere “creative office” project. Unlike traditional office spaces, leasing space and securing various amenities for this “creative office” project required us to draw upon our hospitality industry experience to help Cruzan create a project with enhanced amenities and a superior tenant experience.
GoPro, Inc. dominates the digital camera and camcorder market with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. GoPro’s founder, Nick Woodman, is a 2004 graduate of the University of California San Diego and is an avid surfer who found a better way to capture photos and videos on the waves.
The lease at “make” more than triples GoPro, Inc.’s office space in North County San Diego.
