CGS3’s Marjorie J. Burchett Selected to Lambda Alpha International

SAN DIEGO (February 12, 2020) – Marjorie J. Burchett, a partner with Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) who specializes in residential, commercial, mixed-use and master planned real estate developments, was recently installed as a member of Lambda Alpha International (LAI) during its annual Crystal Globe Gala on Saturday, February 1, at the Westgate Hotel in San Diego.  Burchett joins fellow CGS3 partner Bob Bell in the distinguished honor society.

Membership to LAI is selective and honorary and via nomination only by a current member. To be considered, a nominee must have 10 years of experience in his/her field, have made an outstanding contribution to land economics and demonstrate a commitment to public service and professional ethics.

“I am honored to join this very selective and special group of professionals,” said Burchett. “I am deeply passionate about improving the lives of others and will do my best to exemplify the meaningful standards LAI demands of its members.”

LAI is a global professional society providing a forum of exchange of ideas in land use and development. Its members are involved in the fields of real estate, real estate development, real estate management, land use, urban planning, architecture, law, government, academia and all other professions that deal with use, study and economics of land.

Burchett is very active in the community and professionally.  She serves on multiple boards and committees, among them the YMCA San Diego Camps Board of Management, Facilities/Capital Committee and Real Estate Task Force; the San Diego Building Industry Association, BRE Committee; San Diego County Bar Association, Real Property Law Section, Financial Lawyers Team and the Downtown San Diego Partnership, Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  Burchett is also affiliated with Lawyers Club San Diego, the California Building Industry Association (CBIA), San Diego County Bar Association Foundation and San Diego Commercial Real Estate Women, among others. She also contributes her time each summer to Rancho Genesis, a camp for orphans in Ensenada, Mexico.
