January 23, 2014 – Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) partners Ray Gliner and Dana Schiffman have been named to the list of 2013 Southern California Super Lawyers. It is Gliner’s sixth consecutive year making the list and Schiffman’s 4th year.

With the recognition of Gliner and Schiffman, CGS3 made the annual list of Super Lawyers Business Edition in the category of Construction, Real Estate and Environmental – a major achievement for the firm that opened its doors less than a year ago.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Gliner represents landlords in various complex lease provisions, including lease takeover provisions, extensive overlapping expansion and contraction rights, and build-to-suit work letter/construction and related commencement date issues. He has successfully completed major leasing deals totaling more than 10-million square feet in Southern California over the past 10 years. On the tenant side, Ray represents office, industrial, and retail tenants in a wide range of lease negotiations and transactions, including pass-through, subleasing and assignment issues, sale/lease-backs, leases with purchase options, and contracts for tenant improvements.

Schiffman handles a wide range of acquisition, development, leasing and financing matters for a variety of commercial real estate projects. Of particular note, Dana has in-depth knowledge of vertically integrated mixed-use projects, transit-oriented development, the entire spectrum of retail development types and parking solutions and documentation. His experience includes large portfolio sales, development agreements, CC&Rs, complex ground leases, build-to-suit leases and anchor retail leases.
