SAN DIEGO (March 10, 2021) – Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) partner Brian Kintz has been recognized as a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the Year 2021 Awards.
Each year, the San Diego Business Journal recognizes the financial experts who work behind the scenes to help companies succeed, spotlighting both finalists and winners.
Since being named CGS3’s CFO in 2019, Kintz has helped the firm achieve record financial earnings in one of the most historically volatile economic cycles – including the firm’s efforts to pivot two offices to full remote working environments within days of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, Brian led the firm in negotiating lease extensions and office renovations for its San Diego and Los Angeles offices.
As the first successor to CGS3’s founding CFO, Ray Gliner, he works closely with the firm’s management committee, general counsel, and other officers including the chief human resources officer, the chief technology officer, and the chief marketing and business development officer.
According to CGS3 partner Sean Southard, Brian immediately stepped into his CFO role with energy and enthusiasm, displaying leadership that has been critical to the firm’s strategic direction and succession planning. Since helping launch the firm in 2013, he has been an integral part of the growth of CGS3 from five people to 37 people and the expansion of its practice areas to include litigation, construction/development, distressed real estate workouts and entity formation and tax. “As one of the firm’s new generation partners, Brian has been instrumental in the meteoric growth of CGS3 and our expansion into the Los Angeles market,” Southard said. “Additionally, his steady hand of leadership has been vital in our ability to continue seamless delivery of critical real estate legal services during a very volatile period.”
