Amelia Sanchez not only understands the voice of the client, she has built her practice around it.
As former Senior Legal Counsel handling the real estate interests of Cricket Communications, Inc. (now Cricket Wireless) and former Regional General Counsel for the northwest territory of Newland Communities, LLC, Amelia has an intimate understanding of what it takes to successfully negotiate and close deals without sacrificing the business needs of her clients.
Amelia brings to CGS3 more than 18 years of commercial real estate and transactional experience representing national, regional and local companies. Her proven track record achieving business objectives, resolving issues and completing transactions through strategic and efficient legal negotiations and solutions adds a layer of sophistication and practicality to the legal matters she handles. She has developed deep expertise in supporting and advising business clients on real estate portfolio and asset acquisitions, dispositions and a variety of leasing transactions such as office, retail, industrial, flex and telecommunications leases.
“One of the advantages I bring to clients is that I have been in-house and understand that a successful relationship with outside counsel requires more than excellent legal skills alone.”
In addition to her breadth of commercial real estate experience, Amelia has handled a variety of business and transactional matters, including licensing, asset purchase, contractor, consultant, easement, infrastructure, sponsorship, co-marketing, cost-sharing, joint venture, service and management agreements.
Prior to working in-house, Amelia spent nine years as an attorney in the San Diego office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP where she played an integral role in the commercial real estate transactional practice, handling significant purchase, sale, leasing and licensing matters on behalf of owners and developers of office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, dealerships, residential subdivisions and master planned communities.
