SAN DIEGO (October 13, 2017) – Dawn Saunders, a real estate attorney and partner at Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3), has been named a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal’s 2017 Business Women of the Year Awards.

Each year, the San Diego Business Journal recognizes dynamic women business leaders who have contributed significantly to San Diego.

This year, the publication will host a reception and awards luncheon to honor the winners and their guests, 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 15 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Celebrity emcees, a keynote speaker and the awards program are staples of this much-anticipated annual event.

Saunders has spent more than 20 years of her career concentrating on commercial leasing within the technology and biotechnology/life sciences companies and laboratory and manufacturing industries. She has extensive experience with the acquisition/disposition of commercial real estate, including providing oversight of the due diligence process and advice on mergers/acquisitions and the related financing and restructuring implications.

Saunders serves on the Board of Directors for NAIOP, one of the largest commercial real estate trade organization, and is a member of the board of Athena San Diego, a professional organization of women in STEM industries. In addition to several published articles on real estate law, she has been recognized for five consecutive years in San Diego Super Lawyers – including being named to the “Top 25: 2017 Women San Diego Super Lawyers” list – and has been honored in the past as one of the San Diego Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business.”
