CGS3 Celebrates Four-Year Anniversary

July 21, 2017 CGS3 News Release

Rapidly Growing Firm Adds Attorneys, Expands Office Space

SAN DIEGO – In just four years, Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) has experienced extraordinary growth for a boutique law firm: adding a new Los Angeles office, more than doubling its attorney and staff head count and continuing to increase its portfolio of national top-tier commercial real estate clients.  As a result, CGS3 is now one of Southern California’s premier commercial real estate law firms – well recognized by both industry media and the legal and commercial real estate sectors.

Since it was founded in 2013, CGS3 has grown from seven attorneys and one paralegal to 21 attorneys and six paralegals, including the addition of partner Michael Cato, senior counsel Joseph von Meier, and associates Jamie Altman Buggy, Collin Waring and Cheryl Nieman Brechlin this past year.  The firm has been involved in some of California’s most high-profile projects, including the development of the recently opened Pendry Hotel in downtown San Diego; the Port of San Diego’s development and ground lease of the former Lane Field leasing and development projects surrounding the continued expansion of the award-winning Liberty Station by McMillin Companies and the NTC Foundation; the development of the SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, California which will be home to a 71,000 square-foot conference center, luxury homes, golf course, and Montage and Pendry hotels; and the development of two properties located in Mountain View, California for office and luxury hotels.

Offering a flexible alternative to the “Big Law” business-as-usual model, CGS3 leverages highly specialized services, low overhead and top legal talent from around the country to form a cohesive, collaborative business model aimed at quickly responding to deals of all sizes, scopes and complexities.

“We are all so proud of what we have accomplished in four short years, but there’s still much more to come,” said Sean Southard, a founding partner of CGS3.  “As we enter our fifth year, we look forward to continuing to differentiate ourselves from other firms based upon the quality and sophistication of our work, our client responsiveness and our willingness to be flexible and creative when it comes to delivering legal services to our incredible clients.”
